The triskele, or triskelion as it's also known, is an ancient symbol, often linked to Goddess Temples. For this reason it has come to be associated with the sacred aspects of the triple goddess - maiden, mother and wise woman.
In Celtic tradition, the three spiraled tri sceal (where three spirals come out from a central point) represent birth, death and rebirth and the eternal circle of life.
Also these three aspects are sometimes seen as representing the nature, human and divine aspects of life.
